ISKCON meets with members of Indian Parliament
A group of ISKCON leaders looking for support in resolving the situation with Hindus in Kazakhstan met with the members of Indian Parliament: Ramakanth Yadav from Somajwadi Party, Brajesh Patack and Dr. Sharma.

New Meetings in New Delhi

US Embassy Statement Concerning Demolition of Homes in Hare Krishna Commune
The U.S. Embassy is concerned that Karasai district authorities are continuing their aggressive campaign against the Hare Krishna commune outside of Almaty. On November 21, Karasai district authorities demolished several homes at the commune. Homeowners were left in the cold, and many of their possessions were destroyed. The remaining residents were left without electricity and heat.

On December 5 ISKCON's representatives continued to meet with Indian officials. There were meetings with Mr. Rajnath Singh, President of the BJP party, Dr. A. Mallick, Deputy Dean of the Jamia Millia Islamia University, Mr. Anand Sharma, the Minister of State for External Affairs, and the Joint Secretary for External Affairs Ministry, Dr. Bhagawati.
