Kazakh authorities break their promise
The
promise of the Kazakh government has not been fulfilled. The Society
for Krishna Consciousness was denied a plot of land in Almaty city. At
the present moment the community stays on land that has already been
transferred to the district land reserve. At any moment the community may be evicted, and the
only Hindu temple in Kazakhstan - destroyed.

Kazakhstan. The Western Governments need to take note of the
persecution of a peaceful and friendly minority community on the basis

The attempts to settle the situation around the Society for Krishna Consciousness in the Karasai district have come to a standstill
The officials on all levels categorically deny the fact that the Society for Krishna Consciousness has fallen under religious persecution, however the entire chain of events shows that there is a planned campaign aimed at the final liquidation of the Society, which will be done with the help of economical instruments, among other means.

Open Letter concerning Demolition of Hare Krishna Properties
We urge you to ensure that fair retrials be opened in all cases that
deal with property, eviction and privatization issues. Pending
retrials, we ask you to ensure that no forced evictions of the
community’s members and demolition of their homes or other buildings of
the community be carried out.
