ISKCON meets with members of Indian ParliamentAnother day in Delhi ISKCON leaders visited Ramakanth Yadav, from Somajwadi Party. He took a personal interest in each ISKCON representative, asking many questions about where are they from, about temples in different countries, what their religious backgrounds were, etc. He seemed to really like the fact that ISKCON members had come to visit him and ask his assistance. He said he would bring the topic for discussion in Parliament tomorrow. Prior to that ISKCON leaders met with Mr. Brajesh Patack, another MP who committed to raising the topic for discussion tomorrow, and also ISKCON representatives met with Dr. Sharma, who was on his way to a meeting with the Speaker of the House, Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Advani (Leader of the Opposition), and several others. Mahamantra Dasa rang Mr. Advani and asked if he could talk to the Speaker, Mr. Chatterjee. Tomorrow ISKCON leaders are meeting Sonia Gandhi. Braja Sevaki, press secretary of Indian ISKCON |
