Consul of Britain visits the Hindu community

On December 6 an officer of the British Embassy to Almaty, Consul of Her Majesty Barry Bobin-Martin, visited the Sri Vrindavan Dham Hindu community in the Karasai district of Almaty province.

At 11 a.m. Mr. Consul arrived at the community. He came to investigate the situation in the community after the events of November 21, when the district authorities destroyed 12 houses of the members of the Society for Krishna Consciousness. Mr. Barry Bobin-Martin personally examined the destroyed buildings and spoke with the leaders and other members of the Hindu community, as well as people from the neighbouring village.
