The attempts to settle the situation around the Society for Krishna Consciousness in the Karasai district have come to a standstill
The officials on all levels categorically deny the fact that the Society for Krishna Consciousness has fallen under religious persecution, however the entire chain of events shows that there is a planned campaign aimed at the final liquidation of the Society, which will be done with the help of economical instruments, among other means.

deal with property, eviction and privatization issues. Pending
retrials, we ask you to ensure that no forced evictions of the
community’s members and demolition of their homes or other buildings of
the community be carried out.

The Hakim demands Hare Krishna temple to be demolished
The Karasai district Hakimat demands that the Krishna temple and other
buildings in the Hare Krishna community be demolished in 10 days.
Hare Krishnas left without electricity and water
While Astana makes efforts to resolve the crisis around the Hare
Krishna community in the Karasai district of Almaty province, the local
authorities totally ignore these efforts and methodically extrude the
community cutting off electricity and water supply.
